Alpine’s HEDGE™ surround on BassRev™ speakers acts like performance suspension for your woofer. This unique surround lets the 8" cone move farther, with more excursion than traditional surrounds, while maintaining control. That extra, linear motion translates to greater low-end output and deeper extension, giving BRV-S80C the impact of a larger driver while preserving smooth midrange and clear vocals. The result is crystal-clear, subwoofer-sized bass from an 8" component.

BUILT FOR ACTIVE TUNING

BassRev™M components are designed to run active, so there's no passive network in the box by design. When paired with Alpine OPTIM8® using OPTIM™ Sync, each driver gets its own amplifier channel and crossover for cleaner, more accurate sound. You gain precise control of crossover points, slopes, EQ, and time alignment, with no power lost in passive parts. The result is greater efficiency, consistency, and clarity than traditional passive component sets.
