Horn-Loaded Performance

Using the same Tractrix® horn technology and design principles found in Klipsch’s premium architectural and box speaker lines, the Designer Series delivers true Klipsch power and performance. Featuring a 6.5” polypropylene woofer and a 1” silk dome tweeter mated to a round Tractrix® horn, the DS-160CDT produces dynamic, powerful, and detailed sound—perfect for distributed audio, home theater, or 2-channel systems.

Exclusive Patented Sky Hook® Cinch Installation System

This innovative system automatically engages the dog legs when the speaker is inserted into the cutout, applying a preset clamping force to prevent overtightening. For uneven surfaces, a simple quarter-turn adjustment ensures a flush, secure fit, reducing installation time by up to 75%.

Controlled Dispersion Technology™ (CDT)

CDT technology allows both the tweeter and woofer to be aimed up to 15° in any direction, helping maintain accurate on-axis sound performance from nearly any listening position.
