About: PAC GM3A-RSTX Radio Replacement Interface with OnStar Retention for Select GM Vehicles

Easily upgrade a vehicle’s radio without losing OnStar and other factory features with PAC’s RadioPRO Advanced Radio Installation Adapter. RadioPRO Advanced has been engineered to save you time and seamlessly integrate into a vehicle’s databus system to retain features such as OnStar, steering wheel controls, factory amplifier, rear-seat entertainment system, and warning chimes.

The GM3A-RSTX interface allows the replacement of a factory radio in select General Motors vehicles with 29-bit LAN radios. Using this interface will retain factory features such as OnStar, steering wheel controls (SWC), warning chimes, Rear Seat Controls (RSC), factory XM Radio and the BOSE amplifier when the original radio is removed. Use of this interface also allows you to program two radio functions to each SWC button by using short press long press dual command functionality. The GM3A-RSTX also provides data bus driven outputs such as retained accessory power (RAP), vehicle speed signal (VSS), illumination, reverse trigger and parking brake.

Compatibility Notes: 

• 2012+ GM trucks and SUVs: equipped with factory navigation radios require the RP5-GM32
• 2014+ Silverado and Sierra: Only compatible with 2500 & 3500 series trucks with non-navigation radios. 1500 series must use the RP5-GM51. 2500 & 3500 series trucks with navigation radios must use the RP5-GM32
• In Premium Amplified Systems there will be no fading capability of the aftermarket stereo.
• Chevrolet Express vans & GMC Savannah vans equipped with diesel engines are not compatible
• Does not retain escalating tones of parking sensor proximity
• Does not retain lane departure or forward collision warning tones
