About: PAC LCGM29 Radio Replacement Interface for Select GM LAN 29Bit Vehicles

The entry model LCGM29 retains the factory warning chime sound through a built-in piezo speaker and provides a 12v ACC output for the aftermarket radio. It does not provide navigation outputs such as VSS, Reverse Output, or Parking Brake Outputs; please see the C2R-GM29 for a navigation-ready solution. Does not retain OnStar®. Please see OS-5 for an OnStar® solution.

The LCGM29 allows the replacement of a factory radio in select General Motors vehicles with 29-bit LAN radios. Using this interface will retain factory features such as warning chimes and provides a data-bus generated 12-volt retained accessory power output (RAP). RAP keeps the radio powered after key-off, just like the factory system. The LCGM29 also issues data commands that maintain a “healthy” system status to other vehicle systems.
