X-treme midrange performance is what PRV Audio’s 12MR1200X is all about. Thanks to its high 101.5 dB Sensitivity, this 12″ professional midrange driver is perfect for filling in the vocal range in the largest SPL systems. X Series is dedicated to delivering extreme midrange performance, capable of high output and high power handling, while delivering a smooth vocal response.

A coated woven surround offers smooth, precise geometry during hard play. The light weight cone provides excellent response up to 4 kHz, taking performance to the next level with high output levels over +130dB between 260 to 3,800Hz. Everything about this speaker has been designed to achieve consistent high output levels, when driven to its limit, allowing you to achieve high output sound at low distortion for the best possible listening experience.

12MR1200X 12″ Midrange is built to perform vocals with punchy midbass, a great option for custom Chuchero® speaker box and custom door panels, where weight and performance needs to have the perfect balance. This high output speaker features an extensive basket venting system that ensures optimal cooling for its 3” voice coil with copper wire, to achieve its 1200 Watts of power handling.

The 3″ inside/outside copper voice coil is wrapped on a glass fiber former for heat resistance and high efficiency, bringing out fine details in audio and reproducing them accurately at concert-level volume. This midrange incorporates a high temperature flat copper wire voice coil, and a symmetrical inductance profile. Its 14 mm winding length also ensures high heat dissipation and high sensitivity, even on high power, and with minimum distortion.

Note:   

• Nominal power handling is defined as the maximum RMS power that the speaker can handle in a 2-hour test with a pink noise with 6dB of crest factor and a bandpass filter with 12db/oct tuned in its usable frequency range.
• Continuous Program Power (RMS) is the maximum power that the speaker can handle considering a regular musical program using our recommended filters, this power can be used to define the optimum amplifier power to avoid a clean signal without clipping or saturation.
• Max Peak Power is the maximum power operation for the speaker, this power is allowed just for a few fractions of a second, usually found just on the peaks of the music. Keeping this power for a little longer timer will damage the speaker.
