About: PRV Audio 6MR250B-4 SLIM 6.5" Midrange Slim Loudspeaker - 4 Ohm (Each) 

The MR SLIM series was designed as PRO Audio On Wheels solution for shallow doors, featuring an Aluminum Phase Plug (Bullet). This mid is built like a professional mid range loudspeaker, but it has been designed for use in the mobile audio market, as we called it Pro Audio On Wheels®! By combining elements from PRO Audio and Car Audio we have developed a NEW type of high efficient mid range that is able to give high levels of output from stock speaker location in your car.

The “bullet” phase plug is made from pure aluminum acting as a radiator cooling system for the voice coil and machined to perfection for even sound dissipation. Beyond good looks, this cone is extremely light, providing excellent damping to keep an incredibly natural yet accurate sound. Also featuring a cloth M-roll surround helping resonance to be kept under control making for an easy transition to a super tweeter.

The suspension design of this mid range features the single layer spider – which connects to the coil former with premium stitched lead wires, all being driven by a copper-clad aluminum wire voice coil providing high efficiency and excellent power handling. You can expect outstanding sound stage quality and realistic sound reproduction for a great value.

Built for compact spaces and able to handle 250 watts of continuous power. Its slim design makes this the perfect car audio door speaker, allowing it to be utilized in endless ways. Loud and clear vocals all within 2.14″ of mounting depth without sacrifice quality and performance.

• Nominal power handling is defined as the maximum RMS power that the speaker can handle in a 2-hour test with a pink noise with 6dB of crest factor and a bandpass filter with 12db/oct tuned in its usable frequency range.
• Continuous Program Power (RMS) is the maximum power that the speaker can handle considering a regular musical program using our recommended filters, this power can be used to define the optimum amplifier power to avoid a clean signal without clipping or saturation.
• Max Peak Power is the maximum power operation for the speaker, this power is allowed just for a few fractions of a second, usually found just on the peaks of the music. Keeping this power for a little longer timer will damage the speaker.
