About: PRV Audio D3220Ti 2" Exit High Frequency Compression Driver

Innovative technology for 3 inch compression drivers, the new high-strength compact motor, allows you to keep a large voice coil without sacrificing performance. With a smaller design and as powerful as ever, this high frequency 2″ exit driver is taking the industry to the next level! The new D3220Ti design still retains the same diaphragm design as the previous model. This offers the famous PRV Audio crisp high output on high frequency response, with accuracy (from 1200 to 17,000 Hz) with an emphasis on the critical upper frequency range.

The D3220Ti ferrite titanium compression horn driver, offers the best performance for the price, features a compact magnet motor. This allows you to use this horn driver in custom doors and stuntwall systems for vocal reinforcement. We have created a compact and powerful driver that solves the critical component spacing and weight issue in large systems. The special diameter allows front mounting, making it easy to install, without detaching the driver from any WGP14-50 Horn. The driver diameter measures only 5.71″ having enough clearance to fit inside the 5.75″ baffle cut needed for our 2″ exit horns from the WGP14-50 Series.

The titanium diaphragm is attached to a 3″ diameter copper-clad aluminum wire with Kapton® former for a high 300 Watts RMS musical power handling, when used with recommended HPF using PRV Digital Signal Processor DSP. The pure titanium diaphragm of this driver provides crisp output focusing on vocals and high-frequency response, making it our most famous high-frequency driver!

Note:  

• Nominal power handling is defined as the maximum RMS power that the speaker can handle in a 2-hour test with a pink noise with 6dB of crest factor and a bandpass filter with 12db/oct tuned in its usable frequency range.
• Continuous Program Power (RMS) is the maximum power that the speaker can handle considering a regular musical program using our recommended filters, this power can be used to define the optimum amplifier power to avoid a clean signal without clipping or saturation.
• Max Peak Power is the maximum power operation for the speaker, this power is allowed just for a few fractions of a second, usually found just on the peaks of the music. Keeping this power for a little longer timer will damage the speaker.
