360 Spatial Sound

Sony's 360 Spatial Sound technology helps the BRAVIA Theater Bar 9 fill your room with theater-like sound. Working with industry-standard audio, such as Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and IMAX Enhanced, an array of 13 drivers create phantom speakers that reflect audio all around you.

Room Calibration

Using Sony's Sound Field Optimization feature, the BRAVIA Theater Bar 9 can automatically calibrate audio settings based on your specific room size, its acoustic characteristics, and your listening position.

Add More Speakers

Even with the impressive results of the BRAVIA Theater Bar 9 by itself, you can add additional speakers for more precise surround sound and booming bass. The Bar 9 is compatible with Sony's SA-SW3 and SA-SW5 wireless subwoofers, and SA-RS3R and SA-RS5 rear speakers.

Using the Acoustic Center Sync feature, BRAVIA TV owners can connect to the HT-A9000 soundbar and combine it with the built-in speakers of the TV. The technology is designed to utilize the TV speakers to enhance the center channel, delivering clearer dialogue to movies and TV shows. It also lets you control the soundbar's settings directly from the TV menu.

Hi-End Gaming

Play games in 4K with a smooth 120 Hz refresh, while benfitting from HDMI 2.1 features, such as VRR, ALLM, SBTM, and Dolby Vision HDR. VRR and ALLM give automatic refresh and latency adjustment for stutter-free visuals. Consoles with HDR can use either standard HDR, Dolby Vision, or SBTM, which offers supported consoles the ability to customize HDR settings to fit the game being played. If you own a PS5, added benefits include auto tone mapping and auto genre picture mode enhanced graphics.

BRAVIA Connect App

Initial setup of the Bar 9 is a breeze when you download the BRAVIA Connect app to your smartphone. After you're up and running, you can continue to use the app to control volume, select sound profiles, and access advanced features.

Streaming Music

Play your favorite music services with support for Spotify Connect, Apple AirPlay 2, and Bluetooth wireless streaming. The BRAVIA Theater Bar 9 is capable of playing back high-resolution audio and up-mixing low-res tracks using DSEE Ultimate.

Eco-Friendly

Construction of the BRAVIA Theater Bar 9 is made to have minimal impact on the environment. This is thanks to Sony using approximately 65% less virgin plastic in the construction of the soundbar and its packaging. Also, the fabrics are made from recycled PET plastic bottles.
