Sony XR Technologies

Gaming is a huge part of today's home entertainment, which is why Sony packed the BRAVIA 8 II with a host of features that are meant to deliver exceptional gameplay. There's the smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, and VRR, ALLM, and SBTM technologies to ensure games run smoothly with proper 4K HDR image quality. Additional features are exclusive to the PlayStation 5, such as:

• Auto HDR Tone Mapping: Optimizes your HDR setting for improved contrast and picture quality
• Auto Genre Picture Mode: Automatically switches the TV to Game Mode to reduce input lag, and back to Standard Mode when you're ready to watch TV

Immersive and Understandable Audio

Using Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology, Sony delivers audio from the BRAVIA 8 II in an unconventional way. It uses dual actuators and subwoofers to emit sound through the screen itself, perfectly matching with the visuals displayed on it. This is coupled with Voice Zoom 3, which uses AI to make dialogue easier to hear, even in loud scenes. Support for 360° spatial audio and Dolby Atmos can elevate your acoustic immersion with the right surround sound system. If you decide to add a BRAVIA Theater soundbar, you will unlock Center Sync, a feature to further enhance dialogue and audio quality. Add in automatic acoustic calibration based on your room and listening position, and you have a TV that will sound just as good as it looks.

Voice Control

Don't know what to watch? Just ask Google. Using the included voice remote control, you can use your voice to search streaming apps for TV shows and movies. You can also use your voice to find music to play, find apps, and control TV functions.

Kids Profiles

Parents can rest easy by setting up a kids profile on the BRAVIA 8 II to manage their child's TV access. With a kids profiles, each child can have their own Google TV experience with apps and entertainment just for them. They can choose playful avatars and themes, while parents can restrict which services are shown, TV time limits, and even set a bedtime.
