About: Sundown Audio U-10 v.2 U-Series 10" 1750W RMS Car Subwoofer

The Sundown U Series is our premier “standard suspension” woofer series. The all-new U v.2 improves on the already incredible performance of its predecessor.

We start with a double-stacked / 9.44” wide Y35 grade ferrite magnet system (3/4” wider than the v.1) coupled to a one-piece, bumped T-Yoke and a 0.6” thick top-plate. Just as with our other high-end subwoofers we also add a very thick (5mm thickness) aluminum shorting ring inside the magnets to reduce static inductance and level out inductance over stroke. The v.2 adds a pole-cap aluminum shorting ring which doubles as a heat-sink and airflow guide. The U v.2 series motor also features a 0.6” long pole-extension to keep the coil under control at high levels of excursion.

The voice coil is a 2.36” long / 3” diameter 4-layer aluminum winding / aluminum former unit – which is the same coil design from the U v.1 – but the new version is built with a stronger aluminum former. The coil temperature is kept in check via a high-velocity solid pole / machined pole channels arrangement and a series of 16 direct air-gap vents in the back plate. The U v.2 series also features custom tooled cast aluminum vent rings in between the frame and top plate to effectively exchange air at a high velocity over the voice coil beneath the spider landing.

The U v.2 series features an all-new, custom tooled, cast aluminum frame designed specifically for this line. The cosmetics are very similar to the original v.1 frames but every size frame is substantially thicker and even features stiffening / heat dissipation ribs around the bottom part of the frame. The new frame design allows for significantly taller cones and wider spiders on the 10s and 12s compared to the v.1 which greatly enhance mechanical clearances. Moving on to the 15 the spider is also wider than the originals. The 18 uses the same spider and cone height as the originals but the frame is, of course, much stronger.

Given the stronger motor (15% more powerful), stronger coil construction, superior motor air-flow characteristics, and enhanced mechanical capacity we boosted the power rating to 1750-watts RMS from the 1500-watt rating of the previous version.

If you are looking for a woofer that sounds similar to the SA series but handles significantly more power… the U v.2 series is exactly what you need. It has been designed to live up to the reputation earned by our U v.1 series both in terms of every-day music enjoyment and SPL competition.

Shipping Policy

Please allow 1-2 business days to process an order for in-stock items. Special order/non-stocking items will take longer to process and should be noted on the product page under availability. However, if there are any extended time frames, our team will notify you via phone or email to let you know about any delays or issues. Shipping times are only estimates and are not guaranteed.

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. However, there are some restrictions on select brands and products that cannot be shipped to international destinations. Free shipping is applicable within Canada on orders over $200 before taxes, excluding any heavy items with a fixed shipping fee. Singh Electronics has the right to charge or re-evaluate a shipping rate even after a purchase has been made. For U.S and international orders, a shipping fee will be applicable and calculated based on your location and the dimensions of the item(s). For international orders outside of North America, please email our team at contactus@singhelectronics.ca with the quantity, brand, model number, and your full shipping address including the zip code for a shipping estimate.

If a package is refused or marked undeliverable and returned back to the sender by the shipping carrier, the buyer will be responsible for the return shipping charges and any re-shipping charges. If a refund is approved, we will minus the full cost of the shipping.

Return Policy

We at Singh Electronics offer up to 30 days from the day of delivery or pickup for a return. To be eligible for a return, the item(s) must be in the original packaging, unused, and in the same condition that you received it. If you need to process a return, please submit a return request online or email our team at contactus@singhelectronics.ca. Please include your order number, the reason for the return, and any details about the product you would like to return.

Our team will respond promptly with instructions on how to return the item(s) from your order and issue an RMA (Return Material Authorization) number. Once the RMA number has been issued you have up to 30 days to ensure the product is delivered to the provided return address. Upon receiving the item(s), please allow 7-14 business days for our team to process the return.

Any returns/exchanges after 30 days of delivery will not be accepted. Returned product(s) without an approved RMA (Return Material Authorization) number will not be processed and/or refused. Return shipping and handling costs are the buyer's obligation unless a processing error has occurred. Legal action will be taken if the buyer refuses to take responsibility for these charges along with the cost of any legal expenses that occur.

Product(s) that have been installed, used, or opened cannot be returned or exchanged unless approved by the seller. If approval is granted a restocking fee of up to 40% is applicable.

Please note any special order item(s), which are specified on the product page under availability are subject to a 10% restocking fee on the exchange and a return will not be applicable unless approved by the seller. Any special orders where our team has reached out to confirm extended time frames that are agreed upon by the customer, can not be canceled.

For any unidentified return or lack of response that is aged over 14 days, Singh Electronics will have the right to dispose of such items without notifying the buyer. No replacement will be issued on the unidentified return once it has been disposed of. For your in-store purchase(s) return policy, please refer to your receipt provided at time of sale.

Purchases made between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31 are eligible for extended returns until Jan. 31 of the following year provided it is noted as a gift at the time of purchase.

Lost/Stolen/Damaged Products

Singh Electronics and the courier must be notified of any lost, stolen, or damaged product(s) within a 24-48 hour period after delivery. Singh Electronics will submit a claim with the courier to investigate, only when a decision has been reached by the courier can Singh Electronics move forward with a resolution. A shipping claim can take 30-90 days to be fully investigated, please be patient as we are not able to expedite this process. Furthermore, any claims or issues are the responsibility of the courier and will have to be brought up with them. By notifying us, we will attempt to resolve the issue on your behalf but it is not our responsibility once the product has departed our facilities. Insurance on orders is not included but can be purchased by emailing our team.
