About: JL Audio MAX-KIT Audio Measurement System
TUNE, TEST, TROUBLESHOOT AND ANALYZE ANY AUDIO SYSTEM
MAX is a professional-grade, dual fast Fourier transform (FFT) measurement system with 5 microphones. It is ideal for general audio system measurements, system tuning with DSP, troubleshooting and testing equipment, and solving OEM integration challenges. MAX has many applications in home, car, marine and professional audio.
- STREAMLINES TUNING OF AUDIO DSP PRODUCTS IN REAL-WORLD CONDITIONS
- 5-MICROPHONE AVERAGING GIVES YOU HELPFUL REAL-WORLD MEASUREMENTS
- ACCURACY IS ON PAR WITH PROFESSIONAL TEST SYSTEMS COSTING MUCH MORE
- PRECISELY ANALYZE THE 3 PILLARS OF AUDIO: LEVEL, FREQUENCY AND TIME
- TOGETHER, MAX AND TüN® 4 SOFTWARE CAN ANALYZE ANY AUDIO SYSTEM WITH FULL DETAIL, ALL IN REAL TIME
- BUILT-IN USB HUB SIMPLIFIES CONNECTION TO COMPUTER AND DSP AMPLIFIERS
DUAL FFT ANALYSIS
Conduct dual FFT measurements of up to 5 simultaneous transfer functions with precise displays of magnitude (frequency response), phase, impulse response (delay) and coherence (noise immunity).
5-MICROPHONE ARRAY
Up to 5 included microphones can be multiplexed to conduct single FFT measurements of level and frequency response (real-time audio (RTA) and spectrograph).
WIDE RANGE OF INPUTS
Put it all together with the inputs you need — including up to 5 microphones plus high-level analog signals (up to 80 volts), low-level analog signals (up to 7 volts) and optical digital signals (S/PDIF).
MULTIPLE SIGNAL OUTPUTS
Built-in digital-to-analog conversion feeds analog line level outputs and headphone outputs plus optical digital output (S/PDIF).
SIMPLE VXi/MVi AMP SETUP
For VXi and MVi amplifier users, the MAX audio measurement system offers full integration of amp DSP controls to streamline setup of measurements with one computer and one software application: TüN 4.
IT FITS IN A KIT
All hardware, mounting accessories and cables fit in a lockable, water-resistant hard case. An optional probe kit for impedance and electrical measurement is sold separately.
TECH HIGHLIGHTS:
- AUTOMATIC TRUE DELAY: Set VXi/MVi channel delays in a flash — far more accurately than any other method.
- AUTOSET EQUALIZATION (EQ): To simplify EQ, this feature sets VXi/MVi parametric EQs to your selected target in seconds.
- EASY MANUAL EQs: Perform precise manual EQ adjustments with real-time visual feedback.
- BUILT-IN SIGNAL TEST GENERATOR: MAX provides an input signal for testing — plus WAV file playback capability.
- HOME AUDIO/THEATER: Test room modes for subwoofer placements, and adjust crossover and phase controls.
- CAR AUDIO APPLICATIONS: Mic array and TüN software work to streamline tuning of car audio DSP products.
- BOAT AND RV APPLICATIONS: Evaluate individual or multiple zones in an audio installation for frequency response and level.
- CAPTURE AUDIO DATA: RTA measurements can be captured for later viewing and data analysis.
